We provide hitting lessons on an individual and group basis. The fundamentals of hitting are taught at every level, but more importantly, we focus on the mental approach of the game to players in middle school and higher. HISLEWOOD prides itself and separates themselves from the others by focusing in on the most important and overlooked aspect of hitting, the mental approach. While hitting is obviously the focus of our lessons, having fun and enjoying the game is our number one priority.

“Coach Larry, just a quick note to share with you how much we appreciate all you have done for Sascha and his confidence as a young baseball player. After his first four weeks in baseball camp it is quite apparent that your teaching of the basic fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing have allowed Sascha to excel. Whether it is living your life, building a home, or simply playing the game of baseball; it is important to build on a solid FOUNDATION and we believe Hislewood has laid that solid FOUNDATION in which to build upon and we thank YOU.”
“If you want your son to physically and mentally learn the right way to play the game of baseball, then there is no better coach, instructor, mentor than Larry Hisle, Jr. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the best baseball training techniques and equally as impressive at connecting and inspiring players to be their best. My son significantly improved in every session and in every phase of the game since working with Coach Hisle. And most importantly, my son continues to learn important baseball/life lessons from Coach Hisle that will go far beyond his playing days.”
"In just two lessons with Hislewood, my son’s hitting approach was instantly changed. He started hitting for power and average and was even able to hit the best pitching in tournament play. It was and continues to be a worthwhile experience for him."
"My son experienced your training and I just want to tell you how incredibly valuable this experience was for him. From the “hands-on treatment” to the personal attention, to the teaching of fundamentals and broad love for the game, your incredible passion when working with my son was very obvious. You are approachable and informative in a manner that is seldom seen in other training settings. It is apparent that you wanted to see my son and other kids acquire a great understanding of the fundamentals, play with passion, and to have fun while learning. I totally believe that the investment our family made in my child’s baseball future is an exceptional value for the type of workout and attention to detail that was provided. What a wonderful experience for any kid as they prepare for their spring season and tryouts!"
"After a disappointing junior season which was shortened by injuries, I was determined to work harder than ever in the off season to earn back my starting spot and put up the offensive numbers that I knew I was capable of. I set up weekly hitting lessons with Larry Hisle Jr. which turned out to be one of the best choices I have made in my athletic career. Larry targeted my weaknesses and worked hard with me to become a more fundamentally sound hitter. The biggest improvements in my game however came from Larry’s help with my hitting strategy and confidence. Larry helped me better understand my objective for each plate appearance, and as a result I became much more patient at the plate and was able to wait for “my” pitch, and drive it into the gaps. It felt like I had finally discovered my true strengths as a hitter and was now able to better utilize them. This resulted in a higher level of confidence, which further increased my performance. I ended up starting my senior year and had possibly the greatest season of my life. I owe much of this to Larry, and I hope to work with him again in the future."
“Playing baseball has always been my sons passion. There is nowhere else he would rather be than on the field playing or in the gym improving some aspect of his game. As time went on and he began to realize his true potential, it became evident that he needed some help to take his game to the next level. Larry and Hislewood were recommended to us from a trusted source. We met with Larry and immediately knew that it would be a beneficial relationship. Larry took the time learn who Noah was, not only as a player, but as a person as well. He then took that information and developed a plan to help him reach his goals. He not only became a hitting instructor, but became a mentor for Noah. While Larry’s hitting instruction was excellent, his focus on the mental part of the game has become invaluable. Larry has become a trusted source to Noah for both on the field and off the field advice. I could not have imagined a better role model and mentor to trust my sons development to than Larry and Hislewood.”
